When I think of Japan, I think of perfectly presented food and kooky packaging graphics – kooky in a good way. I’ve never actually been there, so I talk with no authority what-so-ever, but from the outside they seem like a culture obsessed with aesthetics and symbolism, which makes a collection of Japanese symbols and pictograms that you can download for free dream fodder for this blog. I know you’re all getting excited, but don’t climax too soon, cause there’s a few of these to get through.

I don’t know about you, but I think all of the above have a certain special charm and manage to say a lot with very little. The lovely little park bench beneath a tree just makes me want to throw work in for the day and lie in the sun. Having an injured finger starts to look like it might be a nice experience. Friends meet in the street and shake hands. And even the bikes are cooler in Japan.
